About Is There A Bot
Is There A Bot is a free, unofficial directory of shareable Grok Bot templates. People browse bots by the job they do and click out to the official x.ai page to add one. Listings are free, submissions are free and claims are free.
What a listing is
We do not run, host, sell or vouch for bots. Every listing links to the official share page on x.ai. Review what a bot can access before adding it. To report a listing, use the Report link on its page.
How popularity is worked out
Popular is a sort and a small badge, not a ranking. It starts from public X signals on the posts that shared a bot, then adds votes and recent clicks. No install counts are public, so none are used.
baseline = 4 × log10(1 + bookmarks) + 2 × log10(1 + reposts and quotes) + 1 × log10(1 + likes) + 0.5 × log10(1 + views) + 5 × log10(1 + distinct sharers)
- A post that links N bots gives each bot 1/N of its numbers.
- Viral cap: the biggest single post's points (3 × bookmarks + 1 × likes + 2 × reposts and quotes) are capped at 1000; when a post is over it, bookmarks, likes and reposts are scaled down before the logs.
- @grok and @bot never count as sharers.
popular = baseline + 3 × log10(1 + trusted votes) + 1.5 × log10(1 + clicks in the last 30 days)
- Votes and clicks fade with a half-life of 30 days.
- One vote per X account per bot. A vote from an account under 30 days old or with fewer than 10 followers is counted and shown, but does not raise the score.
- The Popular badge marks the top 10% of live bots by this score.
- Paid placements never change these numbers or the order of any list. They are always labelled Featured or Sponsor.
Who gets credit
The creator is whoever made the template: the name on the x.ai page, or a verified claim. Sharers are the X accounts that posted the link. They are shown separately. A claim needs proof: being the first to share the bot, a code in a post or bio, or an admin's review.
